We clean your files. We don't store, analyze, or share them. Files auto-delete in 10 minutes. No accounts required.
Service Description
CleanMetadata is a privacy-focused metadata removal service that:
- Removes metadata from PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and image files
- Encrypts files during processing using AES-256 encryption
- Automatically deletes all files after 10 minutes
- Operates without user accounts or personal data collection
Zero data retention policy: We never store your files beyond the 10-minute processing window.
Your Responsibilities
By using CleanMetadata, you agree to:
- Upload only files you own or have permission to process
- Not upload illegal content including copyrighted material, malware, or prohibited content
- Not attempt to circumvent our security measures or automated deletion systems
- Use the service responsibly and not overload our systems
Important: Always keep backups of your original files. While our cleaning process is reliable, you remain responsible for your data.
Privacy & Data Handling
Our privacy commitments:
- No logging: We don't log file names, contents, or metadata
- No analytics: We don't track user behavior or collect usage statistics
- Encrypted processing: Files are encrypted immediately upon upload
- Automatic deletion: All files deleted within 10 minutes, no exceptions
- No third-party sharing: Your files never leave our secure processing environment

Service Limitations
Current limitations:
- File size limit: Maximum 25MB per file
- Supported formats: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, XLSM, XLTX, XLTM, JPG, JPEG, PNG
- Processing time: Most files processed within 30 seconds
- No bulk processing: One file at a time
We may update these limitations as we improve the service. Changes will be reflected in updated terms.
Service Disclaimers
CleanMetadata is provided "as is" with the following disclaimers:
- No warranty: We don't guarantee 100% metadata removal in all cases
- File integrity: While we preserve file functionality, always test cleaned files
- Service availability: We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee 24/7 availability
- Compatibility: Cleaned files should work with standard software, but we can't guarantee compatibility with all applications
Critical files: For mission-critical documents, we recommend testing our service with non-critical files first.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms occasionally to:
- Reflect changes in our service features
- Address new legal requirements
- Clarify existing provisions
